1Who is responsible
ResearchCreditIntegrity.org is operated by SR Tax Services LLC, which does business under the Swanson Reed brand. SR Tax Services LLC decides how and why the personal information described on this page is used, and is responsible for it. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean SR Tax Services LLC.
If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email hello@researchcreditintegrity.org.
2What the site collects
You can read every page on this site without giving us any personal information. The site has no sign up, contact or support forms, and it does not ask for your name or email address.
Technical information. When you visit, the server that hosts the site receives the information every browser sends with a request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and details of your browser. These request records are used only to run and secure the site. The site also sets two short session cookies that are needed for it to run securely; our cookie policy lists them.
Emails you send us. If you email hello@researchcreditintegrity.org, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write.
Register interest. The "Register interest" links on this site open Swanson Reed's booking page at swansonreed.com, which forwards you to an appointment booking page run on Google Calendar. Anything you enter there is collected by Swanson Reed and by Google under their own privacy policies, not through this site. This site does not receive it.
3Why we use it
We use personal information only:
- to read and reply to your email, including requests for corrections, a right of reply and complaints
- to record your support for the legislative position if you email us to say you support it, and, only with your written consent, to list your name or organization on the get involved page
- to keep the site running and secure, and to protect it from abuse
Where a privacy law asks us to state the legal basis for using personal information, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure website and in answering the people who write to us, and on your consent where you ask us to list you as a supporter.
4What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not use your information for advertising. The site has no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and it does not load tracking scripts from other companies.
- We do not send your details, or any message on your behalf, to Congress, government officials or regulators.
- We do not send newsletters or marketing emails from this site.
5Who can see your information
Your information is available only to the people at SR Tax Services LLC who run this site and need it to deal with your message.
Where the site is hosted. The site runs on a virtual private server provided by Hostinger International Limited, located in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Request records and any information held by the site are stored there, so if you visit from the United Kingdom, Ireland or another country outside the United States, that information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where UK or European data protection law applies, transfers to our hosting provider are protected by standard data protection clauses (including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum), and any information you voluntarily email to us is processed as necessary to respond to your request.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
6How long we keep it
- Server request records are deleted within 7 days. They are cleared automatically every week.
- Error records kept by the site's software are deleted after 14 days. They are about faults in the site, not about visitors, but they can include the address of the page that failed.
- Session records. While you browse, the site keeps a session record with your IP address and browser details, linked to the session cookie. It expires two hours after your last page view and is deleted within the following hour. Session records are never included in backups.
- Emails you send us are kept only for as long as we need them to deal with your message and any follow up, such as a correction, and are then deleted.
- Backups of the site's database are kept for 14 days. They do not include session records or any other information about visitors.
7Your rights
Visitors to this site may live in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Singapore or elsewhere. Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- object to or ask us to limit how we use your information
- complain to the privacy or data protection regulator where you live
To use any of these rights, email hello@researchcreditintegrity.org. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
8Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to the site's systems is limited to the people who run it.
9Children
This site is written for businesses, advisers and policymakers. It is not aimed at children.
10Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will publish the new version on this page.
