1Who operates this site

ResearchCreditIntegrity.org is operated and funded by SR Tax Services LLC, which provides R&D tax advisory services under the Swanson Reed brand. In this disclaimer, "we" and "us" mean SR Tax Services LLC. The same terms appear in our terms of use and privacy policy.

2Research and opinion

This site contains two kinds of material. Research describes the law, official guidance, official reports and the way fee arrangements work, with a numbered citation to the source for each factual statement. Opinion is the position of SR Tax Services LLC, presented under the Swanson Reed name. Swanson Reed's opinions are always labeled as its position: recommendations and arguments appear in boxes labeled "Our position" or sections headed as Swanson Reed's view, and every page in the Policy section carries a note that its proposals are Swanson Reed's position. SR Tax Services LLC has a commercial interest in how R&D tax advisers are paid, as explained in our conflicts of interest statement. Please read our positions with that in mind.

Nothing on this site takes account of your business, your claim or your circumstances. Reading the site, downloading a document or sending us a message does not make SR Tax Services LLC or Swanson Reed your adviser. Before you make a decision about a research credit claim, an engagement letter or a fee arrangement, take advice from a qualified professional who knows your facts.

The model fee disclosure statement and any other templates on the site are illustrations. They are not legal documents, and each one carries its own notice.

4Statements about fee models

When this site discusses contingent fees, fixed fees or other ways of paying advisers, it discusses them as general practices. A statement about a fee model is not a statement about any particular adviser, firm or person, and it is not an allegation that any adviser has acted improperly. We do not name or describe any adviser firm other than Swanson Reed, the brand of SR Tax Services LLC. Where we refer to a court or regulator record, we cite it by its official citation and only for what the record says about the law.

5Dates and changes in the rules

Tax rules, official guidance and professional standards change. Each country page, comparison table and legislative tracker entry shows the date it was last reviewed, and country pages also state the date the rules are described as at. A page may not reflect changes made after that date. Always check the official sources linked from the page for the current position, and ask a qualified adviser how the rules apply to you.

6Other countries and states

Pages about the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Singapore and US state programs describe the rules factually. They make no recommendations, and they are summaries, not a complete statement of the law.

7Errors

We check every page before it is published, as described in our editorial standards, but mistakes can happen. If you find one, please tell us through our corrections page.

8Terms of use

Your use of this site is also governed by our terms of use.
